Hi Ken , do you mean you prefer MetroX to be used in Revo Scan 6 ? In place of Revo Metro?
Personally I prefer Revo Metro , much faster editing and processing , but it missing the grouping
In the future the programs will be merged again ..
thanks for reply
so wondering will rs5/rs5metro update again in the future? or already abandoned, no planning for development
Hi Ken ,
Revo Scan 5 MetroX is already archived and it will be no more updated ,and was replaced by Revo Metro 5.8.7 , you should use now Revo Metro with your MetroX , MetroY, MetroY Pro and MetroY Ultra
Revo Scan 6 now runs with Inspire 1 & 2 , Mini 2, MIRACO series , POP 3 & 4
For all older scanners Revo Scan 5
Thank you for your reply.
I understand that Revo Scan 5 MetroX has been discontinued and replaced by Revo Metro 5.8.7, and that there are no further updates planned for the old MetroX software.
My previous question was actually regarding the future development of Revo Metro 5.8.x, rather than Revo Scan 5 MetroX.
Could you please clarify whether Revo Metro 5.8.x is still under active development and if future updates are planned?
The reason I ask is that the marker cleaning function currently works properly only in the old Revo Scan 5 MetroX software. As a result, I have to clean the scanning markers in the obsolete MetroX software first, then open the new RS5.8.7 to continue the post-processing workflow .
As mentioned in my forum post:
This workflow is quite inconvenient, as it requires switching between two different applications for a single project.
If Revo Metro is still being actively developed, could you please let me know whether there are any plans to restore the marker diameter / marker cleaning functionality, or provide an equivalent alternative in a future update?
Thank you for your assistance.
Yes of course it is still in development as usual and not all full function emigrated correctly , but when they add back the function I canβt tell you , it is on the list for some while now , but I will try to get more info about it tonight .
thanks for confirmation ![]()
