Software also shuts down for me as well when scanning with Metro X. AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 32 GB Ram, RTX 3060 Ti 8GB.
I’ve had the same issue with larger scans, >20k frames. A few things I’ve found helpful. Make sure everything else is closed, only RevoMetro running has had the best results. For me I didnt lose the scan data, so I wasn’t too angry, just annoyed.
Please send your feedback to customer@revopoint3d.com
They may also recover your log files to see where the issue is with your system vs the software .
Will do. No issues before the update, even with large scans.
Hi @Shconer
The Dev team found a bug that cause the software to crash .
This issue will be fix completely in mid March.
My temporary solution is to delete the 585 completely and install 584 if you still have it, if not :
Please uninstall the 585 and delete it completely including the folders, install Revo Metro 5.8.4 to check if the problem disappears.
RevoMetro-5.8.4.208-windows-x86_64.exe:
Let me know if the problem is still presents, if yes , you will have to wait until mid of March for a new version .
March has come and gone. Any news on the update?
Hi @Shconer
It is planned for April 7 on Tuesday.
Hi @PUTV any news regarding the update? Thanks in advance!
Hi @TheGuyWhoAnnoys I will ask tonight , it should be updated 2 days ago already.
The release is planned for middle of next week as some bugs resurfaced that need to be fixed.
Latest update 14.04.26 still same isue
Hi @gun4a17
It was updated this morning but recalled automatic due to installation issue .
The new version will be back online once the issue is addressed.
The Revo Metro 8.5.6 was just updated on the official Download page , please check out
Both for Win & Mac
2.5h scanning no issue for now
I used it in the latest days without any issues too.
Same for me, I don’t see any speed improvement on my main machine (as im unfortunately unable to use my RX7900XTX for GPU Acceleration…). But the scanning has been stable so far.
On my lower end laptop I do get some more fps on high speed laser mode on the Inspire 2 tho (unfortunately still only around 25-35 fps, but it is an older 12th gen Mobile CPU & no dedicated GPU, so that’s to blame…)
Tracking with less dots all around also feels improved
.
Tomorrow I’ll have more time to scan ![]()
