Very nice for a first test , yes the lighting is important but not bad at all .
Regarding the model itself, you could collect little more frames on it as I see some ridges due to low frame count. Or it was collected in Auto mode what can cause it too due to high contrast in color surfaces.

You don’t have to mesh before taking pictures. You do have to mesh before you can create the texture.
I can’t remember if you have to fuse before taking pictures but I’ll try to hook it up and test later. If you use “Continue Scanning”, you have to take pictures all over again.
After the initial scan is finished, select the “Texture” tool.
Use the scanner to take images of the object from all sides. The base station continues to track the scanner, ensuring excellent alignment.
A preview overlay allows you to check if complete coverage is achieved.
Processing :
Use the “One-tap Edit” feature for automatic fusion, mesh generation, and texture mapping. Or use the Manual mode one by one to process it .
