REVOPOINT 3D Scanner Usage Report

The text is written using translation.
We are a 3DCG production in Japan.

I bought REVOPOINT’s POP3D scanner in April and bought it.
I did a test to scan various things.

As an impression that I tried using
The equipment was light and the software was simple and easy to understand.

・ Equipment used
POP3D Scanner
Auto Turntable
YC Onion Camera slider
GripGear Motorized Slider (vertical shift)
Tripod
windows10 desktop
5 inches field monitor

・ Software used
Handy Scan
Autodesk 3dsMAX

・Rendering
OTOY Octane Render

Below is a summary of what we have tested.

● Nike sculpture
Handy Scan: Face mode

By attaching it to the slider
I succeeded in scanning automatically without moving the Scanner by hand.

Rendered with Octane Render.

● Black shoes
Handy Scan: Dark mode

I was able to scan the soles of my shoes without any problems.

● Toys
Handy Scan: Face mode

● Face and hands
Handy Scan: Face mode

● Monitor
When scanning with POP3D in hand, like the picture
I thought about how to attach a 5 inch field monitor to POP3D and check the Windows image at hand.

This made it possible to check at hand without looking at the PC monitor.

● Whole body scan
When we scanned the whole body, we used an automatically rotating table to scan.

うらやましいです。私のところはいつ来るのでしょうか?

I am impressed with your results. I believe I will have to invest in a laptop to get better results than I am experiencing with my phone.
