Revo Scan 6 is working so much faster in everystep taking a scan. Having the steps set up in one click editing is a great choice for redundant scan steps. Fusion is much faster. Simplifying is much faster. One Request bring back the smooth brush tool. While smoothing is better this time around being able to pin point a specific area was a great feature.
Hi @Mattyice
Thank you for your feedback, if you have any ideas or other feedback in the future you are always welcome to share it regardless good or bad !
Great software indeed. Is there any possibility to have it under Linux which is my daily OS used for work.
Hi @Zebulon67fr
No there is not version for Linux or planned at this moment.
I find the layout of revoscan 6 a step backwards compared to revoscan 5. % is more user friendly and better laid out. Also, I have purchased the pop 4 and upon completing a scan, it takes forever to then finalise and show the result before I can start cleaning up and fusing, etc.(my machine is intel core ultra 9 with 96GB RAM and a RTX 5080). Please look at a user interface more like revoscan 5 if you ever do a version 7 as 6 is just rubbish.
Some Revo Scan 6 feedback from me.
I’m new to laser scanning (was doing photogrammetry before) so I’m watching a lot of youtube videos on scanning for tips and advice.
I’ve had some annoyances with merging models, and when watching this video here (at the 9:23 mark) he’s using the competitor scanning software and it seems to give you a lot more options during merging that would be amazingly useful in Revo Scan 6:
This competitor software lets you select each fused models from the merge and lets you select and delete parts of each model from within the merge interface. I know you can go delete points and do clean up on individual models in the separate edit interface, but having this all in the merge interface makes it SO much easier to select the best parts of each scan and delete the bad as you can see the overlaps in real time:
Since all of those fused model editing tools already exist in the app, it’d be great to add them INTO the merge interface.
Hi @BKC
I am with you on that , I prefer RS 5 UI as well , I am still not used to RS 6 , some live it some hate it . Bitter sweet situation.
easy : RS7
with a real user/dev collaboration ![]()
Hi @fthouret start learning technical Chinese ! ![]()
If only the developers would learn the concept of “User Preferences.” Everything about the interface is hard-coded, and it feels like every change is at someone’s whim.
Agree. And it’s not the only software, I use severals and some of them totally miss it, it’s a great mistake in 2026. Hope they’ll hear users !
Help me with that : they all speak english ?!
Hi @fthouret
I was just kidding ..
Just send always your feedback to customer@revopoint3d.com they will forward it directly to the Dev. team periodically.
The dev.tram don’t participate in direct commutation with the public, it is a different division but they get most of the important feedback and suggestions for consideration.
I’ve contacted them and I have a great support !
It seems that the import of the whole project from Android phone to PC is unavailable in Reve Scan 6. Am I wrong? Importing files one by one is a nightmare. I have to import over 20 files and I am lost. The code has to be entered each time I want to transfer the file. Every time I have to confirm I’m sending to PC. After I transferred a few files I got lost as I forgot which files were transferred and which were not. File number on the phone blends with the light preview image - the number cant be seen. When I try to see it by enabling Rename and then click confirm without actually renaming, the file gets moved in the beginning of the list mixing with the previous projects files. Am I doing something wrong?
So I have a question. How does one connect to the scanner via WiFi and to the internet via WiFi at the same time to do the activation? Or does one wait forever for what ever needs to be sent back from the customer service to do the offline activation?
This seems like a needless and very frustrating step to some that just bought their first scanner.
Hi @KDS
What I do is just connecting my phone to my computer and download all my projects , I don’t use the WiFi transfer as it is too slow for me.
Revo Scan 6 only use one project ( scan ) at a time , then things need to be grouped after .
So yes you need to import each scan separately .
Hi @Jcrash77
Just check my reply to your original thread .
I am off on Holidays , but I can drop a note for you and check out on that issue.
The CS may be slightly slow in response at the time so check your original thread .
