Revo Scan 5 MetroX V5.6.8 crashes during scanning

I installed a new version of the software, and now when I scan, it may crash at any time without an error message. The crashes occurred when I was scanning with cross-lines and parallel lines using global markers.

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.60 GHz

I noticed some of the users system crashing , and personally could not find the reason and why.

That’s why technical support can help checking your logs.

It is hard to do it in the forum so best way to get in contact with them at customer@revopoint3d.com

How more users do it , how better attention it get as I am afraid there is something else on the hand .

Mine scans, but it thinks the 6mm markers are 3mm markers (choices are 1.5mm, 3mm, and 5mm). I first deselected 1.5 and 3mm assuming 5mm meant the 6mm markers they always package with the scanners but it locked up until I unplugged the scanner. It won’t scan unless I have 3mm markers checked.

It shows the radius, not the diameter of the marker.

UPDATE: My Post refers to version 5.6.7 not 5.6.8, just noticed 5.6.8 but will probably sit tight and wait

Hi same here with the crashing but after a while.

I sent error reports to Revopoint support and they said its the software and an update will be coming soon.

Definitely contact support so they can get the crash logs.

This soft crush my PC. It restarts. I lose all the data. I need to work now. It doesnt work….It crush when lose track. All the time. It doesnt work at all…how to download 5.6.7 virsion?

Hi @Evgen you better find 5.6.6

The problem with current version has to do with the graphic driver on some systems , so GPU acceleration for rendering may be the issue . You can try to uncheck it in the settings ( rendering acceleration)

The project files with the scan should be available on your hard drive because it is saved automatic while scanning before you even edit it .

Can you (revopoint) put old vereions on website?

I don’t have old versions as I only use Beta internal versions .

I left Note to the team about , they will handle it once they are back in office tonight
