Revo point mini scanner pattern for detecting the global markers

Hello everyone, greetings from ADVENGEO, Mumbai, India.
We have been using the revo point mini past couple of years, now to push its capabilities even further we want to scan Aluminium black chassis that has been powder coated and a bit reflective (model images have been uploaded for reference)

We tried using the global marker method and got good results, but we are still not able to get a complete body scan since the edges, curved surfaces and holes are completely missing.

To summarize the steps that I have tried and need help with,

  1. Global markers allowed me to capture the inner surfaces of the black Aluminum body.
  2. But the edges, curved surfaces and holes got left out.
  3. If I use an AESUB spray I can scan the inner regions without the markers but only to a certain extent cause hardly after 1 minute the scanner enters an infinity mode due to the reflective nature of the black aluminium chassis.
  4. What can we do to scan the edges, curved surfaces and holes so that I can later merge them with the global marker output?

I appreciate all your time and feedback.

I can understand the thing about sharp edges very well, I can’t get sharp edges either, they’re always zigzag. So far I have only measured manually and, since I construct my models anyway, modeled them.

They are missed because they were not scanned ( visible to the scanner) the scanner don’t leave things out .
A shadows can cover the parts or under cuts, you need to find a unique workflow for your individual object by trial and error .
