I downloaded the latest version of Revo Metro for OSX and I’m not sure if I’ve missed something but I scanned an object, both the top and bottom. I cleaned up the two scans and when I went to merge the two, the merge undid all of the clean up? It did it regardless of whether I used the feature or did it manually. So I had to clean up the scan all over again? Seems a bit counterintuitive.
I haven’t used the software for a while but I don’t remember that I would need to merge first and then clean up? What part of the workflow am I missing?
You can only merge pointclouds. The process is scan, fusen clean point cloud, merge, clean u0 yhr merge if needed then mesh the final merged point cloud.
I explained to you about it in another thread already , don’t learn the workflow based on where buttons are on the screen and learn the workflow based on 3D knowledge so you can use it kater across all software in the future and don’t be stuck with buttons positions , that is not the way of learning 3D scanning .
I understand that it would be intuitive but you can’t just click blindly buttons without knowing what you really doing ?! And why it is the way and not another.
At least you learned an important lesson now and one of the most important.
