Merging issue filled holes are gone in Metrox Revoscan

Hi,
I don’t know if it’s lack of knowledge or an issue.
I want to merge 2 parts. For that I took two scans (just a test, not perfect) filled the holes and wanted to merge them. But in merge function (of meshes) I only get the two parts before I filled the wholes.

What is the hidden secret?

Regards Thomas

merging merges point clouds, not meshes

Yeah, you merge fused scans, not meshed. This is why you see the holes back

So what is the problem?
I meshed the fused point clouds and when i switch to merging I get only the point clouds and not the meshed ones.

So does Revoscan only merge the point clouds and not the meshed ones?

That’s correct. You need to mesh again the merged model

BTW I am very happy about the resolution of Metrox if you look at the arrow and „top“ and „oben“. Its less than 50microns and still seen well after merging and simplification of the mesh. And the material is black matte PP.

  1. Scan your objects
  2. Fuse the scans and clean them up
  3. Merge all the scans ( point clouds)
  4. Mesh the final merged scans
  5. Export

So I did at the end.
