Revo Metro Mac support in 2026

I want to buy a 3D scanner but it seems Revopoint doesn’t properly support macOS, so I might have to go with a different brand.

Can I get an official response whether the scan software for the Metro series provides

  • native Apple Silicon support for the CPU
  • hardware acceleration for the compute-intensive parts via Metal that on Windows are GPU-accelerated

i don’t believe you will get an official response via the forums. You may want to try the customer support email route.

I have a Metro Y Ultra and have used it with a Mac Mini M4 Pro with 24gb system memory. I have easily hit 90+ FPS with the laser cross line mode in Revo Metro v5.8.6.

I have not used Revo Scan.

The support for native Apple silicon is still in process , but there is not official ETA yet , there is still 12 months left until Apple stopping their support for current Revopoint software.

So that is all there is about regardless this subject.
