Supported GPUs for MetroX as of June 2025?

The subject line says it all. I tried searching, but I apparently didn’t choose the right search terms.

I’m planning on getting a new laptop and am leaning towards one with one of the NVidia 5070 variants, but the only information I have found said the 5xxx-series GPUs are not supported (but that was 3-4 months ago).

They are supported. My 5070 Ti works flawless with Revo Scan

I use a laptop with a 5080. Works perfectly.

The restrictions on GPU were removed from the latest 2 versions .
As long you use Nvidia RTX

If you getting faster RTX with 50 series make sure you getting fast CPU as well i9 14th Gen at least .

Does this include the RTX Axxxx models? One of the users on Reddit has been having problems with his A3000.

Yes , all RTX graphic cards including Nvidia Quadro . But as always that don’t means that all of the cards will perform optimal.
We have couple of users in the community here that use A3000 as well.

The A3000 can be better in CAD and other tasks but will struggle with GPU acceleration that require higher frame rate in real time because it is not really made for this type of tasks, however the minimal required 3050 is better in gaming what RevoScan5 Metrox profit more from and it also support Direct 12.

The fact that the RTX cards are unlocked in RS5M don’t means all of them will perform at the maximum recommendations.

It also depends on the system like CPU, RAM speed, SSD and the resolution used on the system.

For example the RTX 3050 (minimum requirement ) will perform ok at 1080 resolution but struggle at 4K in this case.

For example my 3090 ti perform slower ( average ) with i9 10 Gen CPU at resolution of 1080 but it is faster than RTX 4080 when used in combination with i9 14th Gen CPU and double resolution in RS5M .

I have an A4500 quadro card and on .5 it worked, nearly 60fps and very fast scans.

Then I upgraded to .7 and did a full calibration and now it’s not working at any angle but perpendicular to the table. The distance bar picks up nothing either.

RP is replacing the scanner this week, though I’m not convinced the root cause of this problem has been identified. Good for them tho, I’ll update soon as it arrives. (Thursday.)

No it is not , but at least you will know where to look after and eliminate the possibilities of the scanner being defective . 50/50

I would recommend you removing the old calibration folder and data of the old scanner to prevent any issue .

And not calibrate the new scanner after arrival until the issue is found and resolved .

Where is the ‘old calibration folder’??

**edit
I see it under config, should I remove the whole thing?

Don’t remove the software folders , you should have your calibration stored in one folder under a specific and unique number corresponding to your MetroX
But that is not under Revo Scan 5 MetroX folders , it is under App data if I good remember under " Revopoint "

When you manually removing the software it ask if you want to remove the data folder ( not your projects ) so maybe you get rid of it already
