GPU support question

Hi!

I have a question about GPU support. I have a workstation with the following specs:
CPU: Threadripper PRO 5955WX
RAM: 256GB
GPU: 2x RTX A4000
Under Preferece → General it shows that no compatible GPUs were found.
Can we have a list of supported GPUs? Will this list expand over time?

EDIT: Just to clarify, I read

GPU Compatibility: Only NVIDIA RTX 30 and 40 Series GPUs are currently supported.

but the A4000 is an Ampere based GPU, same codename as the 3070.

Thanks!

Hi @johnnyking997 at this moment only RTX 30 & 40 series specifically.
Not yet even RTX 50 series.

The codes and feature is new and not yet fully developed.

But new beta is about to be tested supporting new cards.
But there is not yet a list with a new supported cards so you have to wait a little longer.

You have a professional level Quadro card. Sadly, not supported yet. Only two gaming cards are supported, the Nvidia 30xx and 40xx cards.

A new RSM version is already in final testing including quadro cards and wide range of RTX 20xx , 30xx, 40xx, 50xx

I have Just bought Metrox, i didn’t even checked system requirements, because i thought my workstation is OP, surprise the quadro rtx 5000 is not supported  I hope that update will come soon

Hi @lechoo93 yes the version supporting your card for use with GPU acceleration will be released very soon as the beta just finished. It should not take long from now on.

Hello, do you have any feedback about releasing of this new SW supporting quadro’s?

Revopoint office just returned from national holidays last night , so right now no news about the official public release.

I will check if any news tonight and let you know.

Hello,
I am really disappointed that after update to 5.6.5 My GPU is still not supported.

Here is a list of supported cards

● RTX 2060/2070/2080 Super
● RTX 3500 ADA
● RTX 5070/5080/5090
● RTX 5070 Ti
● RTX A6000
● RTX A5000
● RTX A4500
● RTX A3000

I am surprised your card was not added to the list, and it should .
I guessed your card was RTX A5000?
I will leave a note to the team tonight.

I have a RTX4050 Laptop, gpu still not added. I assumed it wouuld be supported when i bought the laptop for the MetroX. I also notice my RTX2060 laptop (non super is not supported for the non-metrox revoscan?) I believe my RTX4050 is listed as “Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU”

Non-MetroX Revoscan don’t support GPU acceleration , you can use Intel HD integrated graphic card , it works even on my win tablet.
So how RTX2060 don’t works ? Any card works with regular RevoScan.

This updated version above is only for RevoScan MetroX .
Other versions don’t support GPU acceleration because they don’t use laser scanners .

All RTX cards series from 30x to 40x are supported with Revo scan MetroX in previous version as well . The list of cards above is only for added additional support.

I have computers from 3090ti to 4060 and all works just fine, so RTX4050 should works without issues, make sure you use the proper version of RevoScan MetroX , update your graphic driver and setup GPU acceleration under settings .

Edit : if your laptop have 2 GPUs make sure RevoScan MetroX use the RTX4050 GPU to run on , and not on the integrated GPU .

I have two laptops, one with Quadro RTX 3000 Mobile, the other one with Quadro RTX 5000 Mobile. Both were bought in 2021 as super engineering mobile workstations.
They are still powerfull for complicated engineering work. Event the Quadro RTX 3000 Mobile is “better” than GeForce RTX 3050 which is pointed in minimum requirements.

https://technical.city/pl/video/Quadro-RTX-3000-mobile-vs-GeForce-RTX-3050-mobile

I hope you will add this in the future…

The cards are powerful for specific tasks but not exactly for what RevoScanMetroX need it for.
The power of gaming graphic card is much more appreciated here for the specific task vs deep learning and calculations .
RevoScanMetroX also works best with gaming drivers vs Studio or Certified quadro drivers.

Regarding speed in this case Quadro RTX 3000 is still pleasurable but on the edge of minimum requirements.
Only cards that can reach the level or above RTX 3050 will be in consideration other way you get the same speed that without GPU acceleration and you will be heavily dependent on your CPU speed.

The Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 should be added, but I guess there was some misunderstanding in the communication mistakenly thinking it was the gaming RTX 5000 and not the Quadro.
I am on it this evening with the team to discuss this issue .

Anyway I will try to get you a version to check both Quadro RTX 3000-5000
To check out and report the result back to see if we can win the case .

I will send you a PM when I am ready.
