My setup for MetroX portable solution with power bank option

After using MetroX for a while, I have been thinking of setting up a portable solution that would utilized a better case other than the OEM one to re-organize the scanner kit and use the battery option to power the scanner, turn table and laptop when scanning onsite.

Finally, I managed to utilize my Pelican case as the main container to incorporate with the original foam from the OEM case and created additional compartments for power bank, markers, electric screw drivers and other accessories.

There are 2-storey organizer setup in the Pelican case created bunch of extra storage spaces for markers and other accessories. And the Pelican case also provides excellent protection during transportation and of course it’s water proof. All the boxes, cable organizer and Power bank case are 3D printed based on the scanning from MetroX.

The power bank is from Anker Zolo, and it has 2 built in USB-C cables (One with retractable) with 25K,165W output capacity which could power the scanner, turn table and laptop at the same time, this is a huge help for offsite scanning. Base on my test, it could provide 1 hour uninterrupted power supply to my laptop (DELL XPS 9520) and scanner when scanning.

but any information abt the usbc to 12v convertor🙇‍♀️

Nice. Much the same as what I do. I use this cable: GINTOOYUN USB Type-C to DC 12V Power Charge Cable,USB-C Male Input to DC5.5x2.5mm Male Power Plug Charge Cable, for Router, CCTV,etc(4.9FT)(12V) : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
I have two of them so I can power the turn table from the powerbank too!

No converter is needed for USB-C to 12V. The power bank does output 12V 3A that can directly power the scanner

I have a similar longer USB C to DC for the scanner, and the short USB C to DC is for the turn table.
