My First Scan - Pretty Fly for a Dead Guy

This dead guy is about 12" tall, and I scanned him on the turntable while holding the scanner in my hand. I made about three of four scans to capture from above and below, and then I turned him on his back to capture the underside.

The topology of the mesh is good, and the model is water-tight. I’m having a little issue with the color capture, so I will address that separately in the support forum. Overall, I think this is a very good model!

I will post the results in another post since I can only post one image because of the new account.

the model has some undercuts and cavities which were meshed really well by Handy Scan.

Merging the underside was tricky, but not difficult to get right after a few tries.
