More Pop 4 scans and a Revo Scan request

Just posting this since there are still Pop 4 owners that are not getting good results. This is a model that I made yesterday. It was made with 4 scans that were merged together without any zBrush cleanup. Each scan was 10,000-12,000 frames, using target and crossed laser mode. And you can see that I use an enlarged plate covered with tracking targets that I mount to my turntable, as well as some raised targets to help with shallow angle scanning. The only modifications to the scan was using the close hole option to make it watertight. Nothing else was done with it.

Now my request from Revopoint. Is there any possibility of adding a paintbrush option to select parts of a model to delete. This would help when merging the sections together. I have had problems with the rough edges on some of the scans when they merge. Generally those are the spots that require touch up in zBrush later. The lasso can select parts on the other side of the scan and that isn’t always usable, or able to be deselected.

Hi @ImDerpyHooves

Thank you for sharing your scans , well done .

Regarding your question the brush tool is already requested and I did it personally.

Nice one , well done @ImDerpyHooves :+1:t3: he

Your request is similar to what I was talking about in the following post, basically asking for better tools on the model merge page to delete noisy/bad parts while you can see all of the different merge parts in one view. This, with a brush instead of just lasso select would make cleaning up the model so much easier.

Hi @grimmx

A brush don’t removes the parts it only make it looking smaller , the points are still there and do not vanish . Brush is good to smooth out base surface only but not for cleaning .

Lose points and overlapped points are the only tools that actually remove the noises and points that are not organized or bonded to the main scan.
