MetroY Pro tripod came without a shoe mount so you could use the plate that comes with the mobile kit. Anyone have a source for this?

Check well , it should be inside a small white pouch , inside the case. I got one inside .

The shoe mount is unique not available in normal store , but you can check on Amazon in Revopoint store if you don’t want to wait .
Got the MetroY pro yesterday. I haven’t even played with yet. But I did check for the shoe since I seen your post here. Was in the little white pouch as mod said above.

Yes, I have that. what I am talking about is something like this so you leave that plate on the scanner and this mount on the tripod. This mount has a 1/4"-20 stud and a 1/4”-20 female is needed

The mobile kit have the battery and the phone holder and the mini shoe mount to attach the scanner to the phone holder , so nothing is actually missing, you just wish for more 
The scanner, battery and tripod is using standard 1/4 thread so any camera/tripod release plate will work , if the release plate tread is 3/4 as usual in this case, you can use adapter available separately in most stores.
Usually release plates come with female adapter 3/4 to 1/4 , something like that below . It have everything you need.
You could scan the existing one then 3D model and make a custom one based off the scan.

Good idea @tokyopav just need to be printed in a very strong filament to hold the weight well . Too expensive to just drop it 
considering a release plates are so cheap I would not even bother with making it myself ( not that I need as I have plenty of them at home )
I was thinking of milling it out of aluminum. Wouldn’t take much if you have a cnc mill.
My idea was to get a quick release similar to the mechanism that is on the actual phone holder and mount it to the tripod. That way you could leave the included oval plate on the scanner indefinitely and easily switch between the tripod and wireless rig, but it appears that the mount on the included oval plate isn’t made to match the standard size shoe mount.

That is sadly the truth , they are custom and will not fit .
I got myself phone /tablet holder with standard shoe a long time ago already . Since I do also a photography a lot so prefer the traditional standard way .
Then you know there are enough parts out there to put a system together, but it would require replacing the phone holder with a different one and the limited mounting area on the Y doesn’t make it any easier. I had to stop looking, I was going crazy!(crazier?) I plan to reinvestigate when I have more time.

You are not going to find a plate to match the Revopoint one . It is unique .
I don’t know why Revopoint did not produced the standard shoe , maybe it is patented , no idea .
I was surprised as you are over 3 years ago , then decided to use my own standard shoe mount and problem solved .
if you want more , you will need to invest in it yourself .
You need a phone holder with standard hot shoe mount ?

You can get also Cold Shoe plate for the tripod, One for tripod , one for the battery .. and 2 left over for more ideas…
And you ready to roll without the need to unscrew or screw things back and forth on good budged too !
