Metrox full field lose orientation

Hi there.

I’m using MetroX since some month, and I never succeeded in Full Field scans.

The scanner ALWAYS lose orientation and start creating multiple views on the same scan.

Anyone knows why, and how getting it working?

Thank you!

Hi @guza3d , your scan lose tracking because the object your are scanning do not have enough features to keep the tracking going on , please switch in this case and use the market mode with Full Field and the tracking will be secured thanks to the markers you put on the model , of on the top turntable .

In lots of your demo video they scan full persons or big car engines parts, flat, without details, and they never lose tracking.

Trying to do the same it doesn’t work, nor on people or engine parts.

Are those videos real?

Hi
Can you share photos of the objects you have difficulties to scan in full field mode?

Hi @guza3d , you are scanning a full person with MetroX ?

I don’t saw any video scanning a person using MetroX from Revopoint and I do scan people for living but I use for that MIRACO or Range as scanning living things with Blue light is not recommended .

Neither you can scan flat engines without markers .

I think you need to specifically focus on the workflow using MetroX as it has specific workflow . Flat surfaces can be only scanned using Trackit , any other scanner from Revopoint need markers for scanning objects without features , it always was like that and nothing can change the fact .

And no , the videos are not fake . They just using specific scanner for a specific task .

You can’t buy one scanner and expect to do all the job in all situations .

MetroX is not for scanning full body but you can scan partial fragments as long the subject stays still .

For engines that do not have lots of features you need to use markers and marker mode , there is no other way . Structured light uses specific workflow that require specific actions on your part .

All you need is to follow the rules of 3D scanning to succeed. It is not a rocket science.

First of all: don’t use arrogance. II was just asking questions, I wasn’t doing nothing more.

I gave Revopoint 1700€ and more, remember this, and the documentation included in the box was 4 pages (four pages)

Second thing, here https://youtu.be/PqMvWBEZsvA?t=60 you can see your video, at min 1:00 while scanning a full engine, with metroX, without markers.

I can assure mine can’t do this, despite is full of details. It keep disorienting.

I tried dozen times.

Have you tried single shot mode with full field?

yes, but after a while, when I just move it start creating multiple copy out of offset of the part

This engine block is full of features

I am giving you a tip and explaining how things works , you are the one that is arrogant here because you don’t accept the reality attacking me for no reason. Learn how to listen , because you are the one having issues using it wrong and not me .

I don’t see a human scanned with MetroX or any flat objects without markers either .

On top that are not my videos or my marketing . I am here to help and so everyone else , so be thankful for it or you will be on your own walking around complaining about your own mistakes .

There is a simple solution for that , use marker mode and nothing will offset while scanning . Objects without features need markers and marker mode as you just saw in the video you posted .

On top you can find a tutorial and videos here and not relay on advertising videos .
