MetroX connection error "The last USB Device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"

Hello,
i have installed Revo Scan 5 MetroX on a brand new device running windows 11
I have followed the instructions and the order of connecting the MetroX scanner, multiple times
I am running an Asus Vivobook I9 Core X1502VA
|Processor|13th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i9-13900H 2.60 GHz|
|Installed RAM|16.0 GB
|System type|64-bit operating system, x64-based processor|
The computer was purchased today.
I have tried this on 2 other machines with the same results…

My most recent connection failure error description is “The last USB Device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it”
Device MGR reads "Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)
I have updated the laptop with all System updates, changed the power options to disable sleep on USB ports, I have uninstalled/reinstalled all USB Ports
This is my 3rd Revo Scanner and running out of options and solutions.
I am wondering if any other users have experienced similar issues and what the resolutions might be. thanks

Make sure you connect to a USB3 port. I would think that all of them would be on a machine that new, but just in case…

Also make sure that the power cord is connected to the USB cable. The MetroX should light up around the buttons so long as power is connected.

Maybe re-download and reinstall the RevoScan MetroX software.

thx, none of this changed anything

I had the same issue on my PC , nothing to do with the scanner.

My final solution was to purchase powered USB 3 hub to avoid this issue .

Make always sure your scanner is fully powered with AC adapter before connecting .

Avoid to connect to front panel USB 3

If still not working I guess your last resource will be powered USB 3 hub
It will also good for your PC.

And trust me I have no issues like that in my win 11 tablet, and compared to my workstation it is nothing …
Yet my MOBO don’t want to play nice
