I have a RevoPoint Mini that works fine with a borrowed Windows machine. It does not work with my M3 Macbook Air. The light on the back is green, and using the terminal “ioreg -p IOUSB” shows the device is present - but the RevoScan software always says “Scanner Disconnected”. I am using RevoScan 5.5.2 which is the latest as of today. I’m guessing this software is running in the mac Rosetta emulation mode - does that affect USB? Is anyone else successful with USB on a revopoint scanner using a M series (ARM) mac?
my miniG1/ RangeG1 and MetroX can work with my M1pro macbookpro
the time wasnt detected, was upgrade revoscan metrox beta to public release version, usb and scanner was detected and software said" scanner disconnected", exactly your case
the solution was remove beta and install public release version
I also have a USB disconnection problem with my M2 pro mac.
I had no connection issue with older FW but after upgraded to new FW, USB disconnection occours frequently as almost impossible to scan.
The disconnection occurs when I move MetroX so I tought that the USB cable is broken but disconnection never happens on Windows with the same cable.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro with the M3 chip and I wonder if that would work. I haven’t tried it yet!? I have the 32 gig Miraco scanner
