So, for some reason my MetroX has started turning the blue light (cross hatched blue light) off during a scan. It comes back on but this is new. The light will just shut off for about 15 seconds then comes back on. During this time the computer screen just freezes than it comes back on and everything continues as normal… has anyone one else noticed this??
Sorry I don’t know , but the cross light is a laser mode light and it will not turn on or shut down if there are not markers detected .
You can also recalibrate the scanner with the newest version of Revo Metro .
If the issue still persist , please contact customer@revopoint3d.com for technician call assistance
Include your system info, Scanner , software , if possible short video showing this issue on action.
The technical team will help you out.
Hi , thanks for the reply.. I did recalibrate the scanner with the newest version of Revo Metro. When it happens it is usually right in the middle of a scan. The lights just go out.. like it has lost connection but it hasn’t… If it continues I will reach out to support… Thanks
I’ve had a similar issue with RevoMetro 5.8.5 and my MetroX. After a scan or pause in a scan sometimes it just shuts the laser off. Restarting RevoMetro fixes it or unplugging and plugging the scanner back in. There seems to be a lot of MetroX bugs in the current software. Its workable, but annoying for sure. There should be a new release in March that hopefully addresses the issues with MetroX in it.
Maybe we start a new thread to capture issues seen in the current version with the MetroX so they hopefully all get addressed.
Hi @Nickluvin
There are already knowing bug issues and the Dev team will address it in the next update especially with MetroX in the mid of March.
The Dev. Team suggested to downgrade the version to 5.8.4 until issues are fixed
RevoMetro-5.8.4.208-windows-x86_64.exe:
Thank you for the link to 5.8.4. The tracking is sooooo much better in 5.8.5 that I have been putting up with the issues instead of going to the previous rev.
Would it be possible to list out the known issues? That way when users come looking for answers they know that it is a known issue that will be addressed or a new issue. Then if is new they can email customer service to make sure the dev team knows. Then we get the best version of the newer software we can!
You can do it, but you going to be responsible for that thread and if it turn into complaining/trolling thread instead of fishing bugs out , I will have to close it. So let keep it on the topic !
Make sure the Title is clear regarding MetroX and 5.8.5 exclusive, because some users don’t see even the difference between scanners.
