I wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed a difference when using the MetroX with the newer Revo Metro 5.8.5 compared to Revo Scan MetroX 5.6.9.
With 5.8.5 the scanner is picking up the black background quite noticeably during scans. I’m using laser cross lines in general mode and I always spray the parts beforehand, so the setup hasn’t changed.
When I run the same parts with the same setup in the old 5.6.9, this doesn’t really happen, or at least it’s much less present and it is much easier to do an isolation of the part.
So it feels like something changed in how the software handles the background or the laser data.
That is a very good improvement, what you need to do is lower the Brightness of the laser to avoid scanning very dark parts while you are using a spray , with spray you need to use the laser brightness at no higher than level 7 or lower.
If you have a background behind you need to use the scanning distance settings to reduce the scanning distance .
But if you talking about the scanned dark floor , you need to reduce the laser brightness.
The latest Revo Metro software was improved to better scan dark components without using 3D spray .
