Just got a brand new Inspire and it isn't showing up on my M1 Mac Studio

I’ve tried various ports and various cables and it all comes back to the same…

The inspire blinks maybe 7 times or so red and then goes solid green. I can’t get a clear answer what the blinking lights represent.

The software says it’s not connected. i checked my mac usb ports and none of them are showing it connected.

Any thoughts on what it could be? i bought through ebay direct from revopoint…

thanks,
Caleb

That might help you sort it out. Sounds like some systems don’t like powering the Inspire directly. Perhaps try with a power bank or charger brick.

Let it boot, and it should be visible as a WiFi AP. Connect the PC to it and see if it works. If so, you might just need a cable that splits power and data. It could also be a hardware issue with the scanner or possibly the cable.

ok so i guess i installed the wrong software… metro? that was not working… but i found the other… no idea what the difference is but i’m in business now.

thanks!

thr revoscan5 metrox isonly for metroX scanner😂
use another one for the rest of the scanner😬

Never heard of a metrox scanner, but yea at least that was an easy one to identify

Now I’m seeing if there isn’t a way to clean up dots and various point noise outside of the main subject in the scanning software…

Thanks!
Caleb
