How to delete bad data after lost tracking

I just received my Metro Y Pro and am trying my first scans. A couple times already, the scanner in marker mode laser scan has lost tracking even with a LOT of markers, and started recording data in the wrong position. Is there any way to delete this bad data and keep the good? I know in Full Field mode there is a keyframes editor, but is it correct that there is nothing like that in laser mode? And no way to undo recent frames?

It frequently loses tracking if I pause to see which areas need more coverage and then resume so this can ruin a lot of work. I apologize if this is well documented somewhere, but I did try to search for information about this before I asked.

Hi @ElaborateJ

If you lose tracking in laser mode , you need to restart a new scan , other way everything after that point will be wrongly aligned .

Losing tracking in laser mode should be impossible because once the tracking is lost the scanner stops scanning . However there can be sometimes situations as jumps when the markers are in the same pattern over and over again , make your markers are in a unique marker pattern in place of a lot , jerk them at bigger distance and avoid to crowd then in one area too much .

Please re calibrate your scanner if you continue having this issue , because it is first indicator the scanner need to be calibrated .

Don’t forget to scan the QR cude from the board before calibration .

Post a photo of your setup.

You most likely have markers in repeating patterns. This will confuse the scanner

This is a known limitation. In Marker/Laser mode, there’s currently no way to delete or undo bad data—that feature only exists in Full Field mode. If tracking is lost, the best option is to stop the scan and start a new one.

It is not a limitation but designed this way , the scanner can’t scan without detecting the markers and it is not about losing a tracking , it is about confusing the software with wrong placed markers.

I would appreciate if you stop posting replies using AI under my replies , summarizing what was already said and brining nothing new to the table is simply parroting.
