Ignoring images by meshing generated while tracking loss (in continous mode)

Dear Community,

is there a setting in Miraco Plus that ignores the scans generated while a trocking loss (red points) for the fushion process.

When i doing scans in continous mode i have several times tracking losses. By going back to a “better” scanning position i have the tracking again.

After the scan is completed and i start the fushion process, the model looks strange, it looks kind of several copying and rotating the models shape.

In revoscan there is the possibility to delete several single scans, but this will takes hours when you have an object with several thousands scans.

Is there any idea ?

I’m pretty sure if its in the red mode, it is not capturing. It probably also has the message down at the bottom saying “tracking lost”? It only captures when you see it green. What generally happens is you lose tracking and then get it back. But if your object has features that are similar, it can think it is at a different point in the object when it starts tracking again. This is why you get the double/ghosting look.

Three things you can do.

  1. pause the scan and delete frames until you get rid of your doubling and resume scanning. This works well if you catch it quickly and you do not lose to much of what you scanned. This is probably the easiest method.
  2. keep scanning and delete frames in post processing
  3. use marker mode or feature rich objects around your part to maintain tracking.
