Hidden SSID wifi add

Hi!
I have finally received und unboxed my miraco but couldn’t find the “add network manually” option. Since I have a hidden network where SSID is not broadcasted, this option is quite necessary.
Is there a workaround to that or did I just miss something?

Did you try this: swipe down, go to settings, go to wlan, swipe down and push “Add WLAN”‽

Hi!

There is no “Add WLAN” option - it just shows available wifi networks.
App Version is v1.0.2.176, system version 2.3.141.20240311

I am on latest beta version (App v.1.1.0.230 , System 2.5.25…20240705) , which very soon be released as official, so I don´t know if that option “add wlan” was there before, but I believe so.

On my Miraco under WLAN there are sections “my networks”, “other networks” and below that “Add WLAN”

I am adding @Revopoint-Jane to provide you further assistance, if needed.

Hi RoB,

It’s worth noting a hidden WiFi is not really hidden to anyone who wants to break into it or connect.

A few years ago was a good practice to hide them, but most software or WiFi hacking tools pick up the clients taking to your hidden WiFi and this is now very common for people to use simple free hacking tools to view every WiFi in the local range.

So depends why your hiding it, as no longer makes it more Secure.

Using the highest level of WiFi password and removing the lower easier to crack WEP/WPA1 versions is the safest options. WPA2-AES or WPA 3 but does depend what else you connect to it and what’s the best they support.

Plus the router you use also

Hi when you open Miraco slide down the screen and go to the Miraco settings , you will find WLAN on the Top row left , and the Add WLAN option will be on the right on the bottom , you can put the the SSID name and all info after …

Here is a fresh screenshot made just a few minutes ago.
Unfortunately, there is no such option, and it is not possible to scroll down on the right side of the screen.
