First Batch Shipped and Delivery Schedule Update

Dear backers,

Every one of us has been working non-stop from the beginning of March. And to answer all your questions in a more efficient way, instead of replying to all your comments or messages, we wrote this update to tell you guys something about the first batch and address the problems that concern you.

First Batch POP Has Been Shipped

We noticed that many of you had actively discussed the shipment for the last month. No matter joys and sorrows you guys are facing right now, we start a new journey on the path to scan objects with your POP or going to get your POP at least. For this point, we should cheer for all your support and the Revopoint team’s effort to make such meaningful thing come true. We shipped the March batch:

Delivery Status of March Batch

For batch sent in March, some of you have gotten your POP scanners, we here offer congratulations on the successful arrival; some of you had received a notice from FedEx then a message shown that it had canceled from shipper, or had no any information from FedEx or the customs, we feel really sorry for your disappointment. We checked the issue with FedEx and the customs side about what happened on earth about the product failed to arrive your side. After confirmation, the following causes block the way: the customs returned the products because of inconsistent Product packaging with the logistics regulation and customs requirements;

We sincerely apologize again for your failing to get your Revopoint POP timely because of above or other reasons. And thanks for your patience and support.

Latest Schedule for Remaining Backers
Originally, we shipped packages according to the backer’s number, which means that the early backers will get the packages earlier. However, we changed our mind after we talked to our partner logistics company and sent out the first batch products.

Backers are from different countries. For instance, if we sent 10 packages respectively to the 10 super early bird backers who might from 10 different countries, the logistics company will process 10 shipments to different countries, which will complicate the whole shipment arrangement.

And the first batch we shipped according to your backer No. in bulk cargo, but returned by customs. Though we are actively push the problem to be resolved as soon as possible, it indeed adds lots of work on the busy team.

In a word, for smooth delivery and taking into consideration of the time to be spent on export declaration and re-packaging, the rest shipment is arranged based on the order of top countries and the order of the time we received your survey and we also plan to send the remaining products all in fast shipping so that you can receive your POP as earlier as you can.

We will deliver 1500pcs a week starting in this week according to country and region.

  1. Why am I missing several items from the package received, and when will the missing parts/add-ons arrive?

A: The missing are parts with battery; most of domestic logistics companies have no support for battery stuff service, they need to be shipped separately, and we are positively looking for stable delivery channel to make sure that once your parcel is shipped, the others will send out within 2 weeks. And we will bear the second shipping fee for you.

  1. How can I get the tracking No.? And How the shipping wokrs?

A: Here is the delivery works: Revopoint Factory (finished) → Logistics provider site(3 Days) →Customs declaration by the logistics provider (3 days)→ shipping (3 days) → Customs of Destination (3 days)→Individuals

After the POP is out of China customs, you will get a notice (or the product is returned).

If everything goes well, the tracking No. will get your POP in 7-15 daysonce shipped.

  1. Why did FedEx ask me for extra 55 € after I paid for my express?

A: The Revopoint POP on Kickstarter does not included tax, shown in the order page, and the import duties and VAT are borne by individuals. The extra 55€ or others asked by the FedEx probably is for custom clearance, or you can directly ask why you should pay extra money to FedEx, but the money has nothing to do with Revopoint Team.

The tax may differ in different countries and regions and Right now, most logistics companies have no services like lower value invoice, but we will try our best to contact with logistics companies to deal with your proper demand.

  1. How long will I receive my parcel once shipped?

At present, all FedEx parcels have been sent out. And the rest (for the next batches) will be delivered in fast shipping, it will arrive within 4-10 day as soon as delivery.

  1. How can I get an invoice after received my POP?

A: After get your parcel, you can send us an email to customer@revopoint3d.comin the following format:

I really wish someone would answer the questions in the comments on the kickstarter and even on here about the shipping. If we paid the extra $30 for fast shipping do we get a refund now since you are sending them all fast shipping? Will those of us that paid the extra $30 get super fast shipping?
This update is really confusing. Main part I I think get is you are going to ship to us here in the USA first so with 1500 per week at fast shipping, everyone in the USA should have there item(s) shipped by the end of this week and received no later than the end of next week since it will be shipped air and not ship…??? I upgraded to fast shipping - order # R1382000001 - backer 6408 - just to make sure it did not have to go by sea.
Only problem I have had with the campaign has been communication, or lack of.

Hi there, I’m missing half of my pledge-
I pledged for two scanners, two turntables, two led lights…

The parcel from Fedex only contains one of each items. What information do you need from me to answer my question?

Yes shipping is confusing. Im backer 026 and live in Ireland and have no idea when I will receive mine. I did not pay extra for express shipping as I paid €42 shipping to Ireland when I first ordered which is expensive for China shipping. I also paid for an additional item and got charged another €42 shipping which is supposed to be refunded as they are to ship together.

Backing number normally relates to production number so you would get unit serial number 0648.

Paying for express shipping normally only means when your unit is manufactured and ready to ship you will get it faster than if it was sent on the same day by sea.

I though 6,408 units would not be ready for shipping for about 4-5 weeks after units started shipping. You would not expect to order a car and be on the waiting list for over 4 months and find your car was given to someone else that ordered a 3 months after you just because they paid to have their car delivered by a different freight method.

Oh please do not think I was complaining about the time it is taking to get them shipped. I honestly would be ok if it was another month or so. I am just concerned about the people (including myself) that paid for express shipping but it sounds like everyone is now getting express shipping at no cost. There are a lot of questions on this on the kickstarter page also and I was just hoping someone could clarify if we will be getting refunds or if they are not shipping everyone’s express, or what is actually going on. I think they should have shipped by backer number and sent every package by express rather than trying to deal with shipping in bulk by sea. Early backers should have had priority due to them getting on board first and propelling the campaign to a success - I am not an early backer at all being #6408 so I should be 6408 in line to get one.

We’re really sorry for the delay.
This is the first batch products, and also the first time for us to deal with such a large scale shipment. It’s unfortunate that the customs improve their requirement, then our parcels are returned back to us to re-package. It wasted a lot of time. That’s why many parcels are delayed than expected, then we change the fast shipping and hope all of customers can receive the parcels earlier.
For the backers who paid the extra $30 for 7 days shipping, actually we sent them to our shipping agency very early, but parcels to US are very strict now and were randomly inspected by customs. We’re pushing our shipping agency to deal with it as soon as possible. I think you don’t need to wait too long to receive the product. Thanks in advance for your kind patience.

I’m backer #649 and I’m in California, I HOPE mine gets shipped soon. I’ve been checking my email and still no shipping notice. If they shipped 1,500 last week, then they only have 900+ this week? I’m trying to be patient, but I’m super anxious too.

I understand the logic of segmenting shipments by country but it takes incentive out of being an early backer. Since I have mine shipping to Peru which I imagine doesn’t have a large quantity of orders then I went from my promised April delivery to no idea when I can expect my order.

I can say I am not pleased as I am sure other early backers are not as well.

The new shipping order wasn’t clear but it appears orders will be filled by country and number of orders per. So does that mean all USA orders are shipped before moving on to the next country?

I’m really not pleased and if I could I would protest for a refund and interest.

How about a list of each backer # and delivery dates sorted by delivery date since backer # now means absolutely nothing?

Should have hired someone with Logistics experience as well to the team, seems to be a common failing with many kickstarter programs.

So if the number of orders by country infograph are actual order numbers, My order shipment fell to somewhere after 3,964 units, so I got sent to the back of the line by about 2000 places. So the email I got about an April delivery is now what? November? December?

I can totally understand your feeling. We’re really sorry for the shipping issues. Now team are trying our best to ship the parcels.

I got shipping information! Although it says it is coming USPS…Thought it would be fedex or ups for the $30 expedited but at least it should be on its way. Now how long it takes the Post Office to actually deliver it is a WHOLE other thing.
