Feature request: Native Linux support for Revo Scan 6 (desktop build)

Hi Revopoint team and fellow makers,

first off - great product. I own a POP 4 and mainly scan parts for 3D printing (replacement parts that need to fit existing hardware, custom accessories). Scanning on my phone (Xiaomi 15 Ultra) works great, and on the desktop Revo Scan 6 runs the laser modes at full speed.

The request
A native Linux version of Revo Scan 6 - even an experimental, unsupported build (.deb or AppImage) would be a game changer for me and quite a few others.

Why it matters to me (honestly)
Revo Scan is currently the single application keeping my workstation on Windows. The rest of my 3D-printing toolchain - slicers, Blender, post-processing - runs natively on Linux, and Linux desktop usage in the maker community is real and growing. I know I’m not alone here: the “Running Revo Scan on Linux” thread has been active since 2022, and “Linux Debian Software” since 2021, both still getting new posts this year.

Why I think it’s feasible

  • The heavy lifting (point cloud capture, processing) runs on the host CPU/GPU, and you already ship Android/iOS clients - so cross-platform is clearly in your DNA.
  • Your SDK officially targets Ubuntu 18.04+ already, so the low-level Linux groundwork exists.
  • Even a minimal path would help: headless/CLI export or a simple Qt UI without the full feature set, so makers can integrate scans into Linux workflows.
  • And you’ve proven you listen: AMD GPU support arrived in Revo Scan 6.3.0 exactly because of forum feedback like this.

I’d gladly volunteer as a tester for any experimental build and report back with logs.

Thanks for reading!
