2. The Highlights of POP 4:
AI Segmentation:
Zero-Noise Capture : Built-in AI identifies and extracts the target in real-time, automatically filtering out the desk, background, and unwanted clutter.
Handheld Freedom : No more avoiding your own hands—you can hold the object directly. The AI intelligently recognizes and hides your fingers.
3DGS:
Ready-to-Use Export: Directly export in .splat format for seamless integration into your creative pipeline.
Accurate Geometry: Unlike smartphone-based splatting that often suffers from spatial distortion, POP 4 provides a 0.03mm precision geometric backbone. You get the stunning, lifelike visual fidelity of 3DGS, anchored to a dimensionally accurate 3D model.

SkreetKar 3D | Revopoint POP 4 3D Scanner – Uncut Shiny Metal Scan
Got another POP 4 test up—this time focusing on one of the more challenging scenarios: reflective metal surfaces.
In this video, I perform a full, uncut wireless scan of a shiny adjustable wrench. You’ll see the complete workflow including setup, lighting adjustments, and how I maintain tracking on a highly reflective object. This is a real-world test to show how the POP 4 handles difficult materials and geometry without any ed…
Hi
Another “quick and dirty” 3d scan with POP 4 (beta unit) , today of a box with a screwdriver and bits. Post processing done in Revo Scan 6 software (beta, too). Done only the most rudimentary cleanup (aka deleting the surrounding object, that’s all).
I used "dark object " settings and laser mod. First fast cross-line scanning from different directions and afterwards switched to single-line mode for scanning over some minor details.
Once fused and meshed at 0.2mm and once only scanned a sma…
Revopoint POP 4 – Full Unboxing & Technical Overview
Hi everyone,
this weekend I had the opportunity to unbox and take a first in-depth look at the new Revopoint POP 4, and I wanted to share a detailed overview of both the package contents and its main technical features.
This is not a full review yet, but rather a complete breakdown of the hardware, accessories, and capabilities before moving on to real-world testing.

The brand new Revopoint POP 4 is just around the corner, and you can already back the Kickstarter campaign . Revopoint asked me to showcase what it coud do, so here’s my article :
And since 3DGS (gaussian splatting) is one of the most intriguing new features, I created several examples that you can check out below.
Very promising feature. As you can see, you can capture diffuse & specular reflection pretty well. I captured these with the scanner lighting turned on but you could also keep it t…
this one came out pretty tasty.. the only “clean up” was 15% isolation, then .5% isolation and filling holes because i accidentally chopped the tail off on the 1 scan and didn’t feel like re doing the fusion
2 position scan at .15 viewport to about 16k for both then meshed at .1
150mm long 135mm tall and 55mm wide approximately
threw it into blender and dropped a bronze mat cap shader on it and it really pops
proving to be a nice piece of kit for what the proposed price is looking like.

POP 4 - BETA TESTING -
SCANNING A MOSAIC
I’m currently testing the upcoming
Revopoint POP 4 (an AI-powered
Blue Laser & Infrared
Hybrid Scanner under $1k) and
wanted to share a quick look at what
this hardware can do.
For this test, I scanned an amazing
reproduction of a highly detailed
ancient mosaic from
Jordan (size 25x21cm).

First scan out of many I will share while beta testing.
A quick scan of a small , old laptop RAM module (LEGO Brick for size comparison), 31mm x 67mm.
Only cross-lines laser mode used !
Fused and meshed with 0.14mm point distance / grid size.
Pretty amazed by the details it was able to pick with ease, all the tiny transistors and even tinier solder connections.

Hello and Aloha
Another day, another quick and effortless scan with POP 4 (beta).
Today I picked a hawaiian tiki mask, height about 98cm. Done with markerless, full field-HD mode, it took less than one minute - I didn’t stop the clock, but it took more like 30 sec.

This are results after fusing and meshing at 0.5mm incl. applying textures with two available modes ( ColorImage and Vertex Coloring).
