Drifting issues Mini

I’m currently using a Revopoint mini, but it needs to be calibrated again because during the scanning procedure it drifts away.
The software shared by you to calibrate the scanner works better than the one present in RevoScan5 5.4.12, the drifting is less but it’s still present.
How can I calibrate the scanner better? And what makes the scanner decalibrate over time?

Thank you

Hi!
How do your scan settings/environment and the object look like?

Please check here first:

If you still have a drift and it is not "just"loosing tracking because lacking feature on your object (which calibration has no impact on) please let us know.

Drifting is issue related to object with no features , you need at least 3 features on a object at max 3cm apart visible all the time in a view

It is not a single line laser scanner
But 3D structured light scanner that require features to be able to scan proper .

Try to scan objects that drifting using marker mode instead , that why it is there for .

Don’t calibrate if your marker mode working correctly .
Proper calibration will affect marker mode as it needs it to work .
Intensive shaking and bumping on the scanner can cause it to lose proper calibration. But in 95% it is always lack of features, wrong surface color or materials .

Blue light is absorbed by other colors so in this case any red/yellow tones was scan poorly, including oil based materials like plastic , rubber, wax, resin etc
