Scanner is not seeing red hair rather i put exposure to full or lowest it just doesn’t capture most of the areas that it should.

Hi!
The answer is linked below.
Hi Adrian
The red color is the only remind issue when scanning with blue light or a laser.
For an obvious reason the red is absorbing the blue light so it can’t be fully reflect back to the sensors from the surface.
All other trouble colors was scanned without issues with laser mode or other modes using the dark mode scanning settings.
For the red I am using transparent 3D scan spray that helps to reflect the blue light better or a regular 3D spray.
I am afraid there is nothing else that c…
So if you want to be able to scan red color your only option might be a light layer of attblime ab zero.
Hi @codabat and Happy New Year
You did good job scanning it , however if you want to scan together with textures you need to purchase another 3D spray that allows you to scan difficult objects but preserve it’s color , sadly AESUB is not that proper spray , since it is mainly used for no colors scanning .
You can try Attblime Zero , it will just frost it slightly still preserving the colors .
The problem in yours is the shine and the black parts , without slightly frosting it…
Or you try to scan the hair part in laser mode , merge with the rest and recolor it in some other software
You should use for those colors the same settings like for dark surfaces, red colors absorb Blue light same for yellow and green. It needs stronger exposure settings.
In cases where different color combination is present, you should switch to laser mode as it handles it better.

The red hair are made from synthetic nylon material that absorb blue light .
The upcoming RSM public updated version will be more powerful in capturing red materials, it will be released soon.
But nylon plus red is hard , since the hair are not opaque so it still can cause issue, sadly physics here in action.
Try to switch to object type = Dark

Ken , it is MetroX, and it will not scan easy nylon red hair . Oil based material plus blue light absorption , bad combination .

I made stupid mistake once , I scanned full body and model with dark hair , I thought white wax will help out with the dark hair until I realized wax is absorbing infrared no matter the color and I made the hair and facial hair completely invisible while scanning using that hair wax .
It was embarrassing moment for me.. but lesson learned.
