CloudCompare models are too dark

Hi All,
Anybody know how to adjust the lighting on cloud compare models? When I import my scan portions of it are hard to see because of the lighting. But I bring the same scan into Meshmixer and it looks amazing.

Thanks!

Hi
How does your tree look like here?

Try activating this shader:

with this plugin “shadvis” you can also do some raytracing:

adding the shader did help. I also changed the color and adjusted the levels. it’s still too dark on the outermost edges. I will try the “shadvis” next

If it is only for the rendering/ showcasing of your models, you might try freeware MeshLab!
https://www.meshlab.net/#download

you can activate these two settings

but even more impact you get by using this shader:

I am not able to show the entire scan but this is what I am able to show. The dark region extends over a large portion of the scan and I can’t seem to do anything about it regardless of color

Hmmm it looks like the normals got reversed on your model .

You can recalculate the normals in Cloud Compare…
Just go to Edit and you find it there , recalculate normals by vertex

I have the same issue when importing from Zbrush my scans they missing the normals and the mesh is all blob .
