So on revo metro 5.8.5 I didn’t have that error, also on 5.8.6 there was no that error until I upgraded the graphics card from RTX 4060 8gb to RTX 4070 TI Super Pro Art 16gb.
How do I get rid of that annoying message?
It’s not funny… it really annoys me with a PC like this.
of course it is installed on an nvme disk.
This is really a disaster, after every click metro 5.8.6 freezes for a second and works, it behaves like that constantly. I start to rotate the model, the program freezes for a second, so the rotation goes where it shouldn’t, not usable. I wouldn’t say anything if the program nailed the hardware, but everything chills as if it is idle. I checked several times whether gpu acceleration was turned on, I also set it to force acceleration in windows itself. However, no matter how I turn the program it works very badly! Freezing between each command is very annoying.

The issue with the model in the viewport has nothing to do with GPU acceleration, it can run on a dedicated GPU and don’t need even Nvidia graphic card , it is a simple OpenGL viewport that do not require any special graphic card as long it support OpenGL 4+
GPU acceleration is only needed while scanning using Laser mode .
I would suggest you turn off the GPU acceleration rendering mode under the settings ( not GPU acceleration)
Since you stated the issues started after you replaced the graphic card , I would reinstall the newest driver and I stall it manually ( clean installation only ) something is odd with the graphic card in general.
Regarding the message , it is weird , it probably don’t recognize your CPU or Graphic card.
So something is not working ok in the system .
Don’t use any Windows settings to improve anything , let the software handle it itself , check the system again as it is guaranteed the system issue . As you stated everything changed after replacing the card .
So did you checked out under settings under Revo Metro perfomance ? What result you got for CPU and GPU ?
Drivers removed with DDU and installed latest version.
metro is recognized GPU, you can see on screen shot.
I try reinstall revo metro, twice drivers…
Everything looked okay & perfect regarding the software , if the card was bad you would get message under GPU acceleration
Please uncheck the GPU Rendering Acceleration on the lowest settings and check how the card behave in the viewport , this may be the problem .
Also check the Performance on the left of the screen to allow the software check your system and show off the screenshot after, the software should choice the best speed CPU or GPU
Remember the GPU will only works while using Laser mode
I monitor the situation during the scan, the gpu max 30% usage and at one point it drops to 0 and the cpu is at 27-30%
There is definitely something wrong with the program itself.

According to the perfomance test the system is not working proper , there is nothing wrong with the software as I use it daily without any problem .
