So an obvious question - which scanners does Miraco replace? Meaning, if I want to simplify my collection. Can I get rid of Range and Pop2? Maybe also the Mini? Or maybe the Mini scans are better quality for small objects?

you can replace them all but for mini, which uses blue light , which allows for even better quality and details on mini-scan. but it all depends on use cases and miraco seems to be enough for most cases.

Hi Filip , Miraco is better than Range , and better than POP3 … it crossing line next with MINI but because of the blue laser MINI still better at the minimum distance .

The tracking is fantastic on big objects as on small … I love my Range …but it lost battle sadly with MIRACO … NO COMPARISON , I was never able to scan a half room with Range as I did with couple of second with MIRACO , my own showcase coming soon …

Heh, just the voice I was hoping to hear  On one hand, goddamnit, here we go again. On the other - my main gripe with these scanners was that it’s an entire endevour to do a scan, I have to plan ahead, charge two separate devices if I’m going mobile. The initial setup is like 5 minutes AND what proved to be the most annoying - I actually have to have space to lay everything out while I’m setting up my Surface Pro in a tablet cage connected to a grip holding the Range with a powerbank - Miraco seems to be a lot more a “point and shoot” approach which is very attractive

It very much is point and scan. It makes the whole process very easy and fast.

Yes but the software on MIRACO can process the same quality as you can on PC … this is something else than a simple mobile app , not to mention it is better than Range … a great solution … still.I do prefer to just scan raw data with it and process faster on PC , when you on the way , there is no much time around to processing each files … you could but not nesesery…

it is s little bit of luxury ,you can do without it … but it is nice to have it .

Why run to work on a bike, if you can have a car … but the last decision as always belongs to the customer …

Could I ask what software you use to display the spinning scans, it is a great way to show them.

I use Blender to create a video and then convert that to a gif with an online service.

A few random things

Mini high-speed grinder - approx 220mm long

Look at the stunning surface detail.

Power drill - 300mm

Again , look at the surface detail. Can you spot the screw that accidentally got picked up by the magnets on the side of the drill?

Small lamb toy - 150mm

Stunning surface detail. These features are absolutely tiny.

Small wooden bird - 120mm tall

Again, look at the features Miraco has managed to resolve. Lovely.

Yes, near mode and high-accuracy. No spray at all. Just scan and go!

:open_mouth: different scans merged together in postprocessing ? you should make a video of scanning that powerdrill . then MIRACO will sell like hot cakes

All as one scan.
I started at the top and gradually worked my way down as it rotated.

I am planning to make a video of the scan at some point. I’ve been unable to do any scanning work for a few days but rest assured I will have a vid later this week.

Not sure about that Miraco is better than Range. From the examples from the Range i have seen so far texture quality seems far better than on the Miraco.

Texture processing is still very beta on Miraco at the moment. Model quality is better than Range. Texture quality will follow.

Is that an official statement from revopoint? Just want to make sure i am not buying a beta product. I hope they can confirm that they left beta status by the end of the kickstarter campaign, otherwise i would be off.
