Got a lot crashes , I have 8 cores and 32 ram, Rtx 5050
Just the scanner today, purchased nov 5
No bueno so far, very early
Metro y pro
Had to allow camera access a couple times to get it to work hard wired and then once calibrated it said it could not process the information
hmm still no mac support..

Hi @Bayousaum23 there is nothing in the calibration software that says “ it can’t process the information “ the only message you can get is “ The Calibration Failed “
Now did you scanned the QR code before calibration ? Did you had proper lighting condition and steady process of taking all pictures on all specific angles ? Any shake while calibration can result in failed calibration and that is normal behavior when this happens sometimes , I calibrated MetroY Pro , MetroY standard and Inspire2 and it passed the first time without issued.
The Camera privacy need to be set up when installing new software to allow access , it need to be only set once after installation , couple times is not nesesery as the system will remember .
Please email about that to customer@revopoint3d.com including the log folder zipped that will show the reason for crashing of the software in your system .
I can’t share the same experience and scanning with it for over a week without one crash , so if it crashed while scanning or processing the log file will show the reason and the technician will help you prevent it in the future.

i have meeting with the support desk and the root cause was me checking the “enable” GPU rendering slowing everything down during full field scanning
we didnt solve the calibration download issue, but since i was passing calibration he said not to worry about it

Which should we be using with the MetroX? MetroX software or Metro?
Revo Metro is the new software for MetroX , once you calibrate MetroX with Revo Metro , not recommended to use it back in older versions .
Do I need to uninstall the MetroX software first?
You don’t need to uninstall Revo MetroX, it is a separate software . Different path without any conflict between.
Hi! Would you recommend to calibrate Metro x when switching to Revo Metro at least once for some reason?

It is a different algorithm software , you should , but going back to Revo MetroX will require a new calibration again since there are different parameters saved , so pick up one software and calibrate before usage and move on.
The changes was so dramatic that calibrating using 5.8.3 will require to calibrate again when moving back to 5.8.2
So definitely do it.
