Hi @Osk4r
I will forward the info to the team .
I have noticed that scanning takes 8-10 times longer with a MacBook Pro M3 Max than a windows laptop.
Using windows version you scan once but on Mac I need to scan 8-10 times to get the scan ”green”.
MetroX is my scanner.
What am I doing wrong?
Windows laptops use GPU acceleration and the Intel CPU cores are used more efficiently.
MAC don’t have GPU acceleration options for that reason it collect the frames slower .
To test your speed , measure how long it will take to capture 1000 frames on both devices and you will know exactly how faster it works.
I doubt it is 8-10 times slower, unless you use the slowest M1 CPU but still …
What is the speed of the frames in your software while scanning ?
Are you saving your projects direct to system hard drive ? Or external HD ?
MAC don’t have “GPU” acceleration options
typo ![]()
i tried CPU Acceleration for AMD1950x and m1pro
both can ran up to 65fps constant, but 1950x is around 2-4sec delay, while m1pro also has 100-300ms delay but usable ![]()
65 Fps is a great speed already …
Thanks for the info Ken and the note about the " typo"
