thanks to the function button, I began to constantly switch between the number of laser lines, which greatly simplified the use. But now I really feel uncomfortable switching to other modes. The work speed can be increased many times. The initial pressing of the “M” key brings up a circular menu, but for some reason we are offered to move through it cyclically, the logic of the circular menu is lost, it would just as well help to be lowercase. I suggest that the second press should correspond to the location of the button on the panel and at the same time confirm the selection of the controlled function. As long as the menu has only 4 items, this is an ideal switching mode that greatly reduces the number of clicks and increases the speed of operation, as well as the intuitiveness of the interface.
Otherwise, all the solutions are positive, as inverting deletion and fullscreen mode are constantly in use.
there is one more thing to note, the constant CPU usage after scanning in wireless mode before restarting the application. the same thing happened on 5.8.4
Thanks for your feedback @Yan
Encouraging. Scans went from 42-46 fps with the prevous version to 56-58.5 fps on V5.8.5 in cpu mode - a big improvement. I can capture point clouds so much faster and smoother. The M key options are helpful as well with the improved scanning experience and options like switching scan line modes on the fly.
Revo Metro now sees my cpu as more than just “meh”
Metro Y Pro - AMD 995X3D
Keep up the good work Revopoint…
Hi @Fastrite
In CPU mode using ADM ?
That is the speed of GPU acceleration using RTX 4060 .
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences!
That’s good to know.
I’m hoping to get a RTX 5070 or TI soon or a suitable laptop to make it easier to scan away from my workstation. Not decided yet…
The CPU is a AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D without a supported GPU (Radeon WX7100).
On the earlier Revo Metro the scanner only seemed to use 1 or 2 cores. On the latest version it uses 4 cores.
Excellent results, thanks for sharing !
