I got my email from Agnes saying “Don’t use the USB thumbdrive software, download the latest Trackit software from the support page”.
Any idea on when that will be available? Right now the support page shows
“Expected date 2025-09-01
Still in preparation”
I am hoping to have it pre-installed and “find my way around” the software before I actually receive my Trackit scanner.

Hi Bruce , the actual functions will be only available after you connect the Trackit to the software .
You can install the software from the USB stick and lock on around but don’t use it , the official one will be released this week
Any more information on why we shouldn’t use it?
Any damage possible to the scanner,… or just user experience?
I already did three scans before getting the email not to use it.
I very much doubt that it could effect the scanner as it is software not firmware , but i would imagine that it “may” be buggy and just not the latest e.g. they relesed a new version between when packaging started and when shipping occurred
Not damage or anything but do not Calibrate using it .
It has still some bugs and lacking the ability to scanning with color.
Kid of a bummer.. the idea behind the VIP purchase was to get quick shipping ( and warranty of course) but the software isnt ready 
Yes it is sadly , it suppose to be online this week so maybe tomorrow.
In the latest moment there was a bug that need to be fixed so it delayed the public release.
The Revo Track software should be available today on the official download page !

Has anyone tried texture mapping with the new firmware?
You need full calibrate Trackit for proper use the new color mapping feature after installing the new firmware.
I know that, I wanted to know if anyone has already done it

I don’t because my early beta version hardware doesn’t support color scanning.
I should have checked before running the full calibration routine …
Do you know how much power the Trackit consumes? The powerbank I have only can supply 36W at 12V …
You should not run the full calibration in first place , unless there are really issues or new firmware is updated .
No I don’t , just be careful , because if things get wrong your warranty is over.
