I initially struggled to correctly angle the tracker for optimal usage of the FOV. Therefore I created this crossline addon: https://www.printables.com/model/1428191-revopoint-trackit-crossline-laser-for-easier-setup
With a snapped on aperture the lasers are limited to the FOV of the tracker to allow immediate feedback of positioning. Mounting to the tracker is realised with a mounting-plate which secures to the laser with a 1/4 camera-screw and slides on the Swiss-Plate of the tracker.
I even created a fancier version with a projected rectangle of the FOV but it sadly didn’t work as expected (maybe the 1€ lasers from AliExpress aren’t as good as advertised): https://www.printables.com/model/1428220-wip-revopoint-trackit-fancy-fov-projecting-laser
For all of you reaching this: Test your lasers and circuits before completely designing a nice housing and prototype. It was quite frustrating to switch on the fancy laser and not seeing the lines since they were too dim… What a journey but I will be back with the fancy laser
