Hello here is an exhaust that I scanned with the Metro X in Cross line mode. The length is 66 cm. I scanned it in parts and then merged it.Then I printed it in resin in 1/5 scale.
I’m trying to understand your workflow in the picture. I understand that cross mode needs markers. I see you applied markers to some of the black areas but not to the metal piping. Are you relying on the markers from the table/mat for that?
If you have enough markers surrounding the object you don’t need them on the object itself. I very rarely apply markers to the object and just rely on marker tokens.
I could have removed them, it was left over from an old scan
Hi, I tried a scan done with the metro X in cross line mode.
I then tested with Quicksurface with the basic things that I learned with the tutorials.
The video is a bit long but may be interesting for what they want to discover
Great, you are just as lazy as me, slapping everything with planes and then cutting ![]()
That always happens to me too, even though I actually want to work more with sketches.
That’s not lazy, that’s lack of patience ![]()
