I just got my Pop4 from the Kickstarter. This is the first dedicated scanner I’ve used, so doing a lot of learning.
This figure here is 92mm black shiny lead, from the 1800s. I captured it using photogrammetry and chalk spray previously using RealityCapture. I now captured it with the Pop4 using laser mode and no spray or extra prep on the figure, it came out so clean you can actually notice the rosary which was just a blob on the RealityScan version.

this is my first proper scan with the Revopoint POP 4, and I wanted to start with a useful test object for a small personal modding idea.
I scanned my Keychron M5 mouse because I’m planning to experiment with changing parts of the outer shell. The shape has a lot of smooth curves, button lines, small gaps, and different surface angles, so it felt like a good challenge for a first real scan.
Since Keychron also provides official CAD files for the M5, I think it would be really interesting to compare my POP 4 scan with the original CAD model later. That could be a nice way to check the scan accuracy and maybe help me plan a custom shell modification.
Still learning, but this was a fun first project with the POP 4.
Took quite some time to scan this, but worth the result. Really impressed by the POP 4’s full field scan with 3DGS. It captures metallic and reflective surfaces beautifully, making the model look incredibly lifelike.
