Scans Aligment Revoscan

Is it possible to add the ability to manually move meshes in Feature Alignment mode? For example, the system leveled up, but not like that. I expanded the mesh as it should be, pressed the button again and the system aligned “exactly” to the new placement. This feature is very well implemented in Rangevision scanners. It would also be nice to have a checkbox for blocking the movement of scans. We aligned two scans, blocked them, and highlighted the third and the previous two to align them. They are already guaranteed not to move (if we were satisfied with how the system aligned them

Merge the first two scans and then align and merge the merge with your third scan. That will give you the functionality you are requesting.

It’s not about that at all. Combine two scans, then combine the third one with them, and combine only the second and third, and the first one so that it does not participate in the merge.

I guess I’m misunderstanding, what I understood from your first post was that you wanted to align scans 1 & 2, and then prevent that alignment from moving/recalculating when you align scan 3 with the first two.

Yes, almost. Prevent them from moving, but do not merge them into one cloud. The goal is that often 2 and 3 scans cannot be combined with each other due to a lack of common geometry, and this requires a transition scan. But to combine it, there is no need to make it complete and good, it is enough only that 2 and 3 are combined relative to it. This is how it is implemented in Rangevision scanners.

Manual alignment is not yet added to the feature.

You can try Cloud Compare free software until then , it will give you manual alignment option, simple registration ( merge) and final precision registration ( merge) you will be able to see all errors while simple registration before commiting to merge .

Worth trying

Well, then, what is more familiar to work in: Geomagic Design
