RevoMetro-5.8.6.340 closes when searching for the Bluetooth connection of the dual-axis base

Hello, I want to use the dual-axis base with the Metro X scanner for texture scanning. My computer is a desktop, so I’ve tried several Bluetooth USB adapters, but when I try to connect the rotating base to RevoMetro-5.8.6.340, the program closes immediately. I need help.

Hi @Pepoteuno most Bluetooth devices needs a location to be turn on to make it works , try it .

If still not working please contact customer@revopoint3d.com for technical assistance

Thank you for your help, I have contacted Revopint’s technical support.

I’ve already solved the problem.
I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 on my desktop PC, and the result was that when I connected the PC to the dual-axis rotating base via Bluetooth, Revo Metro would close. I bought a new laptop: Ryzen 9, 64 GB of RAM, RTX 5060 graphics card—a real beast of a laptop—with Windows 10, and the result was the same. In desperation, I installed Windows 11, and now it works perfectly.

I think that for some reason I don’t understand, it doesn’t work with Windows 10 on either of the two computers I’ve had access to. I remember reading that Revo Metro supports Windows 10. Just in case it helps anyone in the future who encounters a similar issue, try using Windows 11.

Also I think the DAT need to have Location ON to be able to connect , some Bluetooth devices require it for some reason that do not have anything to do with Location at all but setting it up helps for some reason , at least it was this way with the first DAT ..

Good to know you solved that issue , thanks for letting me know
