Revopoint Metrox 3d Turntable bluetooth problems

Just got a new Metrox 3d scanner, but the bluetooth connection seems unstable, I can set up the turntable, it’s spotted as an available device, and Revo Scan 5 seems to be happy to select and configure it. But as soon as you try to autoscan with it, it just sort of hangs. Then if you cancel and go to have a look at the devices, it does seem to have the turntable connected any more. I’ve tried this through two different bluetooth dongles, neither of which usually has any problems connecting to other devices.

Hi @ruperthardy

I don’t have the same issues as you but the turntable disconnect while scanning as well sometimes and the issue is under fixation now … And updates will be provided

Please download one preview version of Revo Scan 5 MetroX from the download page ( it is in the bottom) I believe version 5.6.8 had that issue temporary solved .

You may also try Revo Metro with MetroX scanner as that is a new software to use with MetroX and the issue is not as prominent but may still exist with the bug .

The issue with the turntable is that if the bug is fixed , it can cause other issue and currently it is under investigation what cause it and will be resolved soon

So try Revo Scan 5 MetroX version 5.6.8
Or Revo Metro 5.8.0 with your MetroX scanner for best performance at this moment .

Thank you for your reply, I am hoping that it will turn out to be a software issue.

I used this installer - RevoScan5MetroX-5.6.9.274-windows-x86_64.exe

It is the software issue and nothing else , I am 100% sure about it since I reported that issue already to the dev.team and got their feedback on it

Please Try the new Revo Metro 5.8.0 for all Metro series scanners

Or Revo Scan 5 MetroX 5.6.8 ( the issue is fixed there temporary) but try first Revo Metro
