Revo scan memory consumption

is it possible to understand how much memory revo scan can consume for a single project.
I have a problem:

rendering status fusion
points 8268832
model type continuous
scan setting high
speed 18 fps feature tracking- body

Fusion 0.10mm advanced

on the pc I have 24 GB ram but at a certain point it goes out of memory and consumes all the pc’s memory

It uses it regarding to your processing settings .
Use the meshing settings based on fusing 0.1 fusing , use 0.1 Grid for best results

8 millions points can even use 32 GB of RAM for processing

What you use for scanning ?
And what size is the object ?

I am using POP 3 and I have scanned a person’s half body, I would like to scan the whole person but how much ram would I need

what does use 0.1 Grid for best results mean where do I find this setting in revo scan

regards

That’s a lot of points for POP3
But the Grid is under the Meshing settings , when you slide it up you will see the Grid size will adjust , make sure you reach 0.1 Grid settings while sliding it up … or less in this case as from my experiences it have lots of points and that will cost good amount of memory to process .

thanks for your reply, I’ve been using scanners for a short time, I also bought a range 2 maybe it’s better for making a body,

regarding the emsh but is it the one in the photo? if it’s less than 0.10 I can’t

You see POP3 was not made for scanning human bodies , even if you can you need to have proper amount of RAM to process scans like that , this is not the software fault.
For full bodies you need at least 64GB of RAM .

You see the GRID don’t even allows you to get to higher point to prevent crash of the system .

Use lower resolution for meshing around 5 level may help .

There is no way around , or you get better system RAM or you will get lower resolution scans .
