Revo Metro fusion fails if project is on network volume

I’ve seen this consistently with Revo Metro v5.8.5.90 on macOS 26.3.1 (25D2128), Mac Studio M2 Ultra, MetroX scanner.

If I open a project that’s on a network volume mounted over SMB, the project opens just fine, but when I try to do Fusion (whether one-click or manual), it fails without a meaningful error message. If I move the same project to the desktop’s local disk, everything works. This is true for data in all scanning modes.

The app’s log output only shows this when fusion is attempted:

[18:05:26.574 info TID:23332728 ]: Processor.cpp:1435 fuse in progress

Any advice to make this work?

(my use case: I use a laptop to do the scanning, but then have a beefier desktop where I actually do post-processing, 3D editing, etc. - so after scanning I just move projects to a network volume on my file server and would like to work there directly)

Hi @rdamazio

The projects or rather the software can’t work through servers network from what I know
Not even recommended to use external HD

But you can ask direct the technician at customer@revopoint3d.com for a solution if any .

That’s the best I can help you here with at this moment. You can I Clyde the link to this thread as reference.
