When I complete a scan of any size (i.e. 500-5000 frames) and I click to complete the scan, the “rendering frames” process takes upwards of 20 minutes. Is this typical? I didn’t anticipate this nor have I seen this process time on anyone’s videos when demonstrating. I have a Metro Y Pro running Revo Metro. My PC specs are: Intel Ultra 9, RTX 5060, 64GB. Revo Metro is running with GPU acceleration on. Any advice? Settings I missed?
Hi @rojadoja
There is no rendering frames process , can you explain what you actually did after scanning ?
Did you clicked Complete and after ?
There is not rendering frames because they are already saved in real time to your hard drive while scanning . The Complete button only complete the project and that takes couple of seconds.
Maybe you mean Fusing ? Because that will take some time depending on the settings you used and the size and detail of the scan object .
Sorry, I’m calling it the wrong thing. At the end of the scan, I click “complete” I get a spinning wheel for about 10-15 minutes. During that time, I cannot click on anything. After that time, then I can begin the fusion process. This happens with every scan. My fusions and post processing go very quickly, I have plenty of CPU and GPU.
No problem
I never experienced so long time after complete of the scan , it should take couple of seconds.
Since your processing was fast as well , then I don’t think it is the Hard Drive ( SSD ) either
I will have to ask on Monday the technician why it is happening , definitely not normal behavior .
I will let you know once I get an answer .
Thank you, I appreciate the help. I also have an appointment tomorrow night for phone support. Maybe they’ll have an answer. Let me know if you learn anything.
Hi Tom,
Already left a note for the technicians , will let you know ASAP
Hi Tom,
I talk with the technical team , please send your project zipped to customer@revopoint3d.com for evaluation .
Please include the link to this thread in your email .
They will take over this issue after evaluation of your project to see why it takes so long .
Mark this as solved. It was a hard drive issue. Thank you for the hint!
Hi Tom,
Thank you for letting me know !
