Possible Merge Bug after Point Cloud Fusion?

After merging multiple point clouds to create a complete mesh, I noticed that a hole appeared on the opposite side of the model. This issue only became visible after the fusion process was completed.

Could you please confirm if this could be related to a merge bug, or if there might be another reason for this to occur?

Hi @SphaeroX

I am also experiencing a similar merge bug - (possibly the same?)

I would recommend that you follow the rules for scanning thin-walled parts. The scanning resolution should be 3-4 times less than the wall thickness.

If I do it with CloudCompare I won’t have any problems?

I don’t use it, I can’t say anything about it. The only thing I can kind of recommend is that a free product will never be comparable in level to the one that has been invested in the development.

I’m not trying to persuade anyone at all. If you like, use it
