POP 4 - WiFi Connection not possible

Hi, I have just unpacked my new RevoPoint pop 4. This is my second RevoPoint-scanner - I have also a Range, which is working without problems with the same app and phone.

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra. I have connected the Pop 4 to the included powerbank. The fans of the pop 4 are starting and the LED is green. I can find the WiFi “POP4-REVO-Dxxxxx” and connect to it. No internet but i set it to “always connect”.

In the RevoScan Mobile App I got only the orange string “Scanner not connected”. Reinstalled the app - same problem.

I did not tested the pop 4 with my PC, but it should already work in this mobile-scenario-case.

@Revopoint Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Arturo

Have you installed the app from the Play/App Store? You currently need the release on the homepage for it to work.

Sir, this was already the solution. Thank you very much!!!

Glad I could help :saluting_face::grin:

Revo Scan 6.2 is not yet released to be able to use with POP 4 and Android version is not yet updated on Google Play , but you can download it directly from the download section on the official website .

Revo Scan 6.2 was also released today for Mac and Win in the official download page .

How do you get it to work on iPhone?

Hi @Kodi_Das

There is no iOS version available yet for use with POP 4

Now that is something i don’t like to read! :weary_face:

Just unboxed mine yesterday, happy as a kid on Christmas morning! Unfortunately I got the following results;

On iPhone 14 Pro Max, … well your post answered that one.

On my MacBook, 2019 model … well there it said that it didn’t support the software.

Windows PC, doesn’t fulfill requirements… so today, not so happy :confounded_face:

Hello, i have the same problem. I installed software on android from Homepage. I have a 23Ultra. I can connect with WiFi. Also the red led turns green and i hear the Fans. But in the app is always “disconnected”. How i can handle this?

On your 2019 MacBook natively runs Intel-based applications. These apps will continue to work perfectly on your machine. If you need technical assistance please contact customer@revopoint3d.com

At least you can try Full Field, it working perfectly even on my old Windows tablet at full speed i7 8th Gen , all modes worked but fully workable was Full Field.

I have tested it on old phone for $100 Android 12 and it still worked fine .
Make sure the WiFi is connected and do not switched off , as that is what android system do when system don’t detect Internet on the scanner WiFi network .

Still issues? please contact customer@revopoint3d.com with full phone specifications .

My MacBook is an Intel MacBook Pro 2019 running macOS Sequoia. When I launch RevoScan 6.2, macOS says: “You can’t open the application ‘RevoScan6’ because this application is not supported on this Mac.” Since you mentioned Intel applications should run natively, could you please verify whether the macOS installer you provided is actually built for Intel (x86_64) or send me the correct Intel version?

Hi @BenZ1

The application is the right one , there is not other .
Please contact customer@revopoint3d.com with your technical issues with installation.

have you an estimate when it will be possible to connect it all with wifi and iOS and macOS ?

Would be nice to at least be able to connect with WiFi to my iPhone, so I would have at least possibility to start using it!

Hi @Jewima what exactly issue and what scanner ? If POP 4 , there is no iIS available yet

Please start always your own tread to not hijacking others not related to your issue .

Hi @BenZ1 there is not yet iOS app to support POP 4

If you have issue connecting POP 4 to your Mac with WiFi or whatever , please check first the settings below

IOS version is on the way so please don’t install the old version that don’t support yet POP 4

Hope there will be an app for iPhone very soon, for as we speak I just have bought a very expensive paperweight!

I will ask tonight if they have already ETA for the release of iOS version .

However iPhone will not provide you with full functionality either on its own as mobile devices do not support Blue Laser mode .

It support only 3 mode scanning : Full Field, Hybrid and VCSEL. The scans need to be processed on computer for too quality , in iPhone the results will be downgraded as it is not powerful enough for the maximum process .

You can also run Revo Mirror but you still need to harvest the power of your computer
