@PUTV can you think of a situation in 3d scanning that 0.015 would make difference over scanning at 0.02mm? I think companies chase specs with little improvement in the output/outcome. For example, going from 1920x1080 to 4K resolution made a huge difference. Going to 8k–especially on a desktop size screen, makes little to no sense.
I wish that Revopoint spend their R&D on building the Miraco MetroY (or whatever they are gonna call their stand-alone laser scanner) instead of doing the MetroXPro. I think all the MetroXPro did was dilute and confuse the market with their MetroY line. All the while, the company on the other side of Shenzhen made a stand-alone laser scanner. I am hoping that Revopoint releases their Miraco laser scanner soon. I guess the part that drives me crazy is that 1. Revopoint was first to the consumer market with a stand alone 2. the other scanner has been known about for about 6 months and been for sale for 3. It is not like some new territory or a unknown market for Revopoint. It is THEIR market to lose. It is a slam-dunk product for Revopoint, but they are letting someone else do it. Why?
Instead, we got Metro Y Ultra with 0.005 extra resolution and no stand alone laser scanner. Yea, I am a little disappointed.
