Open scans on alternate computer

You should make it easier to open scans on an alternate computer. I frequently scan using a laptop, but would like to open the scan (after transfering the file folder) to my desktop (which is more powerful and runs faster). The project window that opens with the RevoMetro or Trackit does not allow one the select a project that the software does not already “know” about. Opening an existing project that the computer does have in history will allow me to then select my transferred project after opening the “known” project. But the transferred project may or may not open - not sure why it does not open when it fails.

While I can appreciate the listing of projects that the software “knows” about, disregarding the standard OS interface for opening files seems like a step backwards and makes the user go thru extra steps.

Please fix this - make an open dialog available in the projects list…please.

Place the folder where you like and just double click the project file icon.

Make sure the software is first closed.

That will add it to the list and open the project

I completely agree.

Additionally the damn “Home Screen” does not reliably fill the project list. E.g. removing every scan from the project make it no longer appear in the list. But also projects with scans sometimes just do not appear. It is a hot mess!

Generally the idea of having the user choose ONE DIRECTORY where all his projects will live is already an obstruction.
